What does Kai do?
Kai shows a reward progress bar on your store — in the cart drawer, on the cart page, on product pages or as a bar across the site. As the cart grows, shoppers unlock rewards you set: free shipping, a free gift, a percentage or fixed discount, or Buy X Get Y. Each reward is applied automatically at checkout.
Do shoppers need a discount code?
No. Kai creates Shopify automatic discounts that run on Shopify Functions, so rewards apply at checkout on their own. Discount codes are not needed.
How many campaigns can I run?
As many as you like, on every plan. You can schedule campaigns with a start and end time in your store’s time zone, pause, duplicate or save them as drafts.
How does the free gift work?
Pick one gift and Kai adds it to the cart automatically when the goal is reached. Offer several and shoppers choose in a popup or carousel, with a limit on how many they can take. You can also offer a mystery gift (you get an order note to send it) or the lowest-priced item from a collection free.
If a shopper passes several tiers, which reward applies?
The highest tier reached. For example, with 10%, 20% and 30% tiers, a cart that reaches the third tier gets 30% off.
Does it work with Shopify Markets and other currencies?
Yes. Goals convert with Shopify’s currency rates by default, or you can set your own goal amounts per market — with an auto-convert helper — and limit a campaign to selected markets.
Can I show the bar in other languages?
Yes. Every message, label and upsell text can be translated into any language published in your Shopify store, and the bar shows in the shopper’s language. The Kai dashboard itself is available in 21 languages.
Will it work with my theme?
Kai installs as a theme app extension (app embed and app blocks), so it works with Online Store 2.0 themes without editing code. The bar can sit in your theme’s cart drawer, cart page, product page, header, or as a sticky bar, and you can fine-tune spacing per device. Our team helps with any theme that needs extra care.
