About the cart drawer
Does the Kai cart drawer replace my theme’s cart drawer?
Yes. When it is switched on, your cart icon, Add to cart buttons and quick-add open the Kai drawer and your theme’s own drawer stays hidden. Switch it off and your theme’s drawer is back immediately — nothing in your theme is edited.
Which themes does it work with?
It is tested on Shopify’s Dawn and Horizon theme families (Dawn, Refresh, Sense, Craft, Studio, Horizon, Atelier, Fabric and more). On other themes it finds your cart button, Add to cart buttons and theme drawer automatically. A built-in “Check on my store” tool shows exactly what it found, and you can add selectors or ask us to tune it.
Do I need to set up my progress bar again?
No. One click moves your existing Kai progress bar into the drawer with the same tiers, messages, layout and colors, and matches the drawer’s buttons to your bar.
Can I try it before shoppers see it?
Yes. Set it up and preview it in the admin and on your live store (visible only to you) as a draft. Nothing changes for shoppers until you publish.
Is the drawer translated?
Default drawer texts are translated automatically into 20 languages, for the languages published in your store. Texts you write yourself can be translated in the drawer’s Translations section.
Which plan includes the cart drawer?
Setting up and previewing is free. Showing the drawer to shoppers is part of the Plus plan ($12.99/month), which also includes everything in Pro.
